Gassin offers free guided tours of the village during Heritage Days. These tours are led by a guide and allows you to discover Gassin, classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Gassin is undoubtedly one of the oldest municipalities in the Gulf. Old Roman Ligurian village then Saracen, it suffered Saracen incursions from the 8th to the 14th century. Ramparts exist, and allow a panoramic view of the islands of Hyères to the Alps.
The Romanesque-style church with a square steeple dates from the 16th century during which the village was known for its wizards ...
Today, the hilltop village is classified among the most beautiful villages in France.
