Yury REVICH, Austrian violinist of Russian origin, and Basha SLAVINSKA, Franco-Polish accordionist: they will perform pieces by Rimsky Korsakov, Bruch, Williams; Tchaikovsky, Zimmer, Piazzolla... and a composition by Yury Revich. Destined to become a ballet dancer, Basha SLAVINSKA discovered the accordion by chance at the age of 7. Winner of more than 30 international competitions - including the World Cup in the USA and the World Trophy in Serbia - she made her mark on the history of her instrument with record scores. She has performed alongside artists such as Misha Maisky and Sergio Tiempo at the Baltic Opera, and has been invited to prestigious venues such as the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk, the Royal Palace in Warsaw and the Eurovision Young Artists.
A graduate of the CNSM in Paris, where she was admitted to the only place available, Basha has been supported by the Cziffra Foundation and the Fondation Banque Populaire. An acclaimed soloist, she has performed at renowned festivals such as the Flâneries Musicales de Reims, the Festival Radio France de Montpellier and the Festival d'Epau.
Today, Basha is one of the leading classical accordionists of her generation. She is currently preparing the release of an album of works by Frederic Chopin.
Austrian violinist and composer Yury REVICH, winner of the ECHO Klassik and the International Classical Music Award, has made a name for himself with his recording of the Saint-Georges double concertos, ranked in the Classical Billboard TOP 100 in 2021.
At the age of 18, he made his Carnegie Hall debut alongside Daniil Trifonov, before performing Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto at La Scala in Milan. Since then, he has worked as a soloist with international orchestras and conductors such as Mikhail Pletnev. In chamber music, he has played alongside artists such as Martha Argerich and Steven Isserlis, recording 9 CDs for labels such as SONY and NAXOS.
A passionate composer, he regularly creates works for festivals and world events such as the Dubai World Expo. In 2023, his Saint-Georges album was featured on the soundtrack of the Netflix series Bridgerton.
