If stones could speak Small secrets to great hours, what would they tell us about their history?
A medieval bastide, the origin of the village's name. This strong tower, dating from the first quarter of the 14th century, did not, strictly speaking, play a defensive role. In 1476 Master Antoine Paulety, a notary from Grimaud, bought a large landed estate from the monks of Le Thoronet and built a medieval bastide and had a strong tower erected to protect his servants and workers "La Tour Paulety".
The remains of the eponymous tower of the rural district that became a commune still exist, the lower floor of a rectangular building can be seen.
