La Garde-Freinet
The museum features several exhibitions on the traditional trades of the Massif des Maures: chestnut growing, silkworm breeding and cork harvesting. There's also a room devoted to Fort Freinet. A permanent exhibition on the archeological site of Fort Freinet and exhibitions on the traditions of the Maures region:
- silkworm rearing or sericulture,
- cork oak, its bark and the manufacture of corks
- chestnut trees and chestnuts.
Numerous photographs, machines and videos illustrate these themes.

Every day throughout the year
Opening hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9 am and 1 pm and between 2 pm and 5 pm.
Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.
