Ticket museum Gendarmerie and Cinema

The museum invites you to discover the history of this building which, before becoming an emblematic place for the shooting gendarmes' movies, hosted the brigade of Saint-Tropez from 1879 to 2003. A part of the museum is dedicated to the history of the Gendarmerie and the Saint-Tropez brigade, and pays tribute to the saga of the "Gendarme of Saint-Tropez" films made from 1964 onwards. The adventures of the most famous brigade in the world, portrayed by the tandem of Louis De Funès and Michel Galabru, contributed to making the building famous throughout the world. Saint-Tropez myth or reality and land of filming since the 30s naturally finds its place on the 2nd floor of the building by a representation of natural scenery, nightlife, fashion and modernity as well as its iconic actresses Romy Schneider and Brigitte Bardot. On the ground floor, the museum has a temporary exhibition room.
